FAQs

General

  1. How can parents become more involved at Meadow Wood?

The best way to become more involved at Meadow Wood is to join PTA!  We sponsor many events throughout the year and also provide weekly assistance in the office, library and the cafeteria.  Attend one of our board meetings (see calendar tab), contact the Room Mom for your child's class or send an email to any officer on the board (the list is available on the tabs at the top of the page) and we'll be happy to find a great way for you to get involved - we even have spots for those that work full or part time, or have small children at home.

  2. How big is Meadow Wood?

Meadow Wood is one of the smallest elementary schools in SBISD. Our enrollment is about 530 students. It varies from year to year.

  3. Is After School Care available at Meadow Wood?

Yes, after school care is provided by iKids from 3pm to 6:15pm. Click on the following link for more information: http://www.ikidsinc.com/afterschool-program/

  4. How is information communicated to parents?

The best place to find information is right here on our website! Printed flyers & forms as well as our weekly Eagle Express newsletter and the Principal's Friday Focus go home in each student's Friday folder.

Or, visit the school's website at http:/mwe.springbranchisd.com/

Meadow Wood also has an eblast system in place (contact our Communications chair to be added to this list - see contact info on our PTA Board tab above) and a marquee at the front of the building.

  5. Can I have lunch with my child in the cafeteria?

Of course! Just sign in as a visitor in the office and meet your child in the cafeteria during their lunch time. It's a great way to get to know your child's classmates and spend some quality time together.

Events

  1. Can parents attend classroom parties?

Absolutely!  There are two classroom parties each year - a holiday party just before the Winter break and a Valentine party.  Our room parents coordinate the event, but parents and siblings are welcome to attend and enjoy the festivities.
